How it works

From a page in your book to your fingers on the keys

NoteCascade reads the music for you, plays it slowly or at full speed and shows a comfortable finger for every note. You decide how fast to go.
01

Bring your sheet music

The piece from your teacher, a book or the internet. Take a photo of the page, or open a MIDI or MusicXML file.
02

Watch and listen

The notes fall onto a piano keyboard and play out loud, so you know how it should sound before you touch a key.
03

Follow the fingers

Every note shows which finger to use. Slow it down, practise one hand, loop the tricky bar until it sticks.

Why NoteCascade

Made for the piece you actually want to play

Most piano apps teach the songs they’ve licensed. NoteCascade starts from the sheet music you already have.

Your music, not our catalog

A photo of the page is enough. MIDI and MusicXML files work too.

Hear it before you play it

Can’t read the staff yet? Press play, hear the tune and see where each note lands.

Know your fingers

A suggested finger on every note. It’s a hint, not a rule: tap a note to change it.

Questions

Yes. You can read 3 photos a day for free, and MIDI and MusicXML files have no limit. No account, no card.

Good with a sharp, straight photo of a printed beginner piece. It can still get a note wrong, especially on busy pages, handwriting or blurry shots. Bars it isn’t sure about are marked: tap one to hear it and compare with your page. For an exact copy, use a MIDI or MusicXML file.

Your photo is sent to our AI provider only to read the notes. NoteCascade doesn’t store it. The notes we read, and a small copy of the photo for the “Show my photo” button, stay in your browser.

Lay the page flat in good light and fill the frame with one page. Hold the phone straight above it so the lines of the staff look straight.

No fingering is right for every hand. NoteCascade suggests fingers that keep your hand in comfortable positions and avoid awkward stretches. It’s a good starting point, not a rule: tap a note to pick a different finger, and your choice is saved in your browser.

Any piano or keyboard works, and 61 keys is plenty for beginner pieces. You can also just watch and listen on your phone to learn how a piece goes.
